I have been lucky enough to have worked with a variety of commercially successful brands and sole business owners on some amazing marketing activity over the past 15 years, with award-winning results.

From hosting a secret rave in the woods for 1,000 people at a festival to seeing my ideas up in lights in Piccadilly Circus; from accompanying a fabulous business owner to collect an award for their brand to seeing another clued-up business reach their first 1,000 followers on Instagram. Mammoth or mini, a dream’s a dream and dreams can come true – I’ve seen it.

I love nothing more than seeing brands achieve the success they deserve and I fully understand that truly knowing your brand coupled with a dedicated marketing plan is integral to that success.

My passion is working with people who understand the value of marketing to elevate their brand and reach their goals but need that expert hand to get them there. I completely understand that when you’re running your business, you don’t have the time, experience or inclination at times to do your marketing as well which can feel overwhelming and stressful, which is where I come in to offer a helping hand.

Originally from the north, I trained to be journalist (after completing a very ill-advised Law degree) and went on to write for the various titles (including the Metro newspaper and MWB, fashion trade magazine). In 2008, I made the leap from journalism to marketing and moved to London, working for brands including Diesel, Fenchurch and PRS for Music.

Through a mixture of opportunity and frustration in the corporate world, my ‘owning my own business’ itch was definitely in need of a scratch and my desire to help business owners with their marketing needs was huge. So in 2017, the dream I had always privately nurtured to go out on my own became a reality when I finally made the leap to run my business full time, which was – and still is! – equally the most terrifying and rewarding thing I have ever done.

Since then, I have worked with an array of brands and clients, large and small, and at any stage of their journeys to help elevate them to where they want to be through marketing and events.

I am super proud of my roster of clients and the achievements we have attained together through a mixture of establishing great relationships, brand understanding and good old fashioned hard work.

Alongside running Karen Campbell Marketing, I am the co-founder of business networking event Spark that launched in 2018 and I also sit on the board of the wonderful BelEve charity.

I am currently working on launching my podcast in the new year and starting writing my first book – both of which I am procrastinating about wildly! But one thing I’ve learnt is that where focus goes, energy flows which I remind myself of daily!
